Chetan Sakariya Father Expires Due TO Covid-19

Rajasthan Royals young pacer Chetan Sakariya’s father has passed away in a private hospital at Bhavnagar, Gujarat on 9th May 2021.

His father was a tempo driver and had encouraged Chetan in every way possible. He had a wish to see his son playing for his country. But unfortunately, he lost the battle against the deadly virus.

In a recent interview, Sakariya said that he received a call from the hospital regarding his father’s health condition. And as soon as he got his IPL salary, he transferred the amount for his father’s treatment.

Sakariya told – “I was lucky because I had received my part payment from Rajasthan Royals a few days ago. I straight away transferred money back home, and that is helping my family the most in my toughest time,”

When asked about the future, he said – “I am the only member in my community who has earned so much. My mother doesn’t know how many zeros are there in crores. Our first priority is to see my father back and then build that home. For that, IPL should happen.”
