Chappell Rejected Deepak Chahar For Height Issue: Prasad

Former India bowler Venkatesh Prasad has claimed that Australian coach Greg Chappell previously ordered bowler Deepak Chahar to stop cricket and choose a different career while he was at the Rajasthan Cricket Academy. ‘Chahar was rejected by Greg Chappell for his height’: Prasad urges not to take ‘overseas coaches too seriously’

Chahar, who is 28 years old, scored as the game-winner chase in the series-winning 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka. Prasad was responding to Chappell’s selection as Director of Cricket at the Rajasthan Cricket Academy under former IPL chairman Lalit Modi after he quit as India coach.
