History was in making during the last day of the league games for this BBL 2021-22 season. In the game against Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Thunders, leg-spinner Cameron Boyce has now become the 1st ever cricketer to achieve a rare double hat-trick in the history of the Big Bash League.

“We still can’t believe this happened!! A double hattie from Cameron Boyce!!” tweeted the BBL.
He has achieved this rare feat during the 55th match of the BBL 2021-22 season. And now Boyce has become the 1st bowler from the Renegades camp to achieve a BBL hat-trick. His magic started in the last ball of the 7th over where he has dismissed Alex Hales.
When he returned in the 9th over – He picked the 1st wicket of Jason Sangha as he was trying to charge down the ground but unfortunately fell prey – as the wicketkeeper stumped him out. And in the very next ball, he has picked Alex Ross, where the batsmen tried to play a sweep shot and the ball was trapped onto his pads – This is where Boyce has completed his hat-trick.
Here was the moment – In the 3rd ball, Daniel Sams was also dismissed for a golden duck and Boyce has completed his double hat-trick.
Renegades have restricted the Sydney Thunders to 170 and the reason for them to restrict the opponents to a nominal score is only because of Boyce. Now it was all down to the batsmen.
Unfortunately, Renegades has lost the match by just a small margin of 1 run – Despite a few star performances from the players they have fallen short of a win.
Coming to Boyce’s international career he has represented his nation Australia in 7 T20I games.
