Some of the supporters who have been doubling down because of cancelling India and South Africa and the heavily popular Indian Premier League (IPL).
MS Dhoni’s followers are ready for the IPL as Dhoni will return and show his aggressive cricket in this match. The former India skipper has been in self-imposed exile since India’s semi-final defeat from New Zealand in the last ICC World Cup.
For the IPL opening match on March 29, Dhoni is practicing in the nets and leads the Chennai Super Kings, the three-time champions against Mumbai Indians. However, with the postponement of the IPL, Dhoni’s future is in the dark.
India coach Ravi Shastri and others have suggested that Dhoni’s selection for the T20 World Cup 12 months later will depend on how he performs in the IPL.
Followers hope the IPL is in place, and Dhoni is on the move quickly for CSK in addition to India. Below are two responses from Dhoni’s followers in BCCI’s tweet.
