The HAP Cup, which will be conducted by specially-abled cricket players in India, will take place from December 28th to December 31st, 2021. Haryana will host the 4-day competition.
Jay Shah Inaugurate HAP-Cup For Disabled Players
Meanwhile, Jay Shah, the Secretary of the BCCI, went on to inaugurate the HAP Cup. A Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) is also being established.
In addition, Jay Shah remarked that the very 1st step has been done for the growth of the country’s ‘Divyang’ players. In addition to stating that much effort is required to assist the specially-abled, Shah stated that the BCCI will offer its assistance to support this great cause.

“History has been created. The first step has been taken and now a lot of work has to be done for the development of all Divyang players of the country. BCCI shall give all possible support for this cause,” said Shah at the launch of the tournament.
In addition, Ravi Chauhan, Secretary-General of the DCCI, stated that for more than a decade, specially-abled individuals have battled to gain attention. Chauhan continued by noting that all Divyang players will be grateful to Shah for his excellent endeavour, saying that Jay Shah accepted this cause of promoting the specially-abled community personally.
“For more than 10 years, all the organizations in their different ways have been struggling to get recognition from BCCI. But it was Jay Shah who really took this cause personally and removed all the obstacles and formed this committee. All Divyang players today and tomorrow shall be always indebted to Jay Shah for this initiative,” concluded Chauhan.
