BCCI President Sourav Ganguly To Interact With Ravi Shastri

Board members of BCCI Jay Shah and Sourav Ganguly are currently travelling to London for the second test match of the series against England. They’ll be staying in London for the complete 5 days and the main reason behind the journey is to talk with Ravi Shastri. Shastri’s contract will be expiring by the end of the year 2021. Here is Sourav Ganguly To Interact With Ravi Shastri.

Rumors are pretty strong that Ravi Shastri will part his way with the team India when his contract expires. With him, the other members of the coaching setup including the likes of bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and batting coach Vikram Rathour could possibly be leaving as well.

There is a rumor that BCCI is keen on playing to make Rahul Dravid the new head coach of the team. “Too early to talk about this, but as you are aware the president, secretary, treasurer, and vice-president are landing in London today. So they will interact with Shastri and the team and discuss various things around the tour and future of Indian cricket. If there is much to the topic of Shastri not looking to continue, it will surely be discussed over the course of the Lord’s Test. But I would still say too early,” the source said.

Ravi Shastri had a good success overseas where India defeated Australia twice on their soil. Also, India defeated New Zealand and South Africa on their home grounds. However, India didn’t manage to win any ICC trophy under his guidance. India has consistently performed well in all the tournaments reaching either Semifinal or Finals but they never got a chance to touch an ICC trophy. This will be considered a failure.

India will be seen playing their second test match at the home of cricket, Lords. It’s been 7 years since India last won the test in the iconic venue. Under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, India won the match in 2014 with an impressive 95 run win.
