BCCI has decided not to allow NCA to renew the coaching staff’s contract:
It is not so surprising fact that the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has taken the decision to not to allow the National Cricket Academy (NCA) to renew the coaching staff’s contract, who had hired in the year 2019 on a one-year contract basis under the support of the Committee of Administrators (COA), appointed by the Supreme Court.
The batting, bowling, and fielding coaching appointments at the NCA, who came to work under Rahul Dravid, the director of NCA had been done through the COA without conducting an interview last year, which is against the protocol that the COA had ordered for all appointments along with supporting staff members and the Indian team.
“It was like oranges and apples provided the way NCA hired coaching staff members without conducting an interview last year. Now, when the COVID-19 is disturbing everything, these coaching staffs have had no work to do in the last five months. So, there is no point to renew the contracts.
The Indian Cricket Board will take care of the overall structure and do the things rights once cricket starts on the full phase.
The coaching staff members, whose one-year contracts are not being renewed has no clue about the development until they got the calls from Rahul Dravid or from the BCCI in the last 48 hours for domestic cricket, Saba Karim to personally convey the same thing.
Along with Rahul Dravid, Ashish Kaushik, the physiotherapist has received the permanent position with the BCCI; operations Manager Kshemal Waingankar; trainer Anand Date; and Sujit Somasundar-the education head are the few people who will work at the NCA.
Among the coaching member, Abhay Sharma (wicketkeeping), Narendra Hirwani (spin), and U-19 coach Paras Mhambrey will remain in their posts, pending the terms of contracts.
