BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly has been an active participant of the relief operations announced by the Indian government in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
Right from BCCI donating an amount of Rs 51 crores to ‘Prince Of Kolkata’ and BCCI chief donating 2000 kg of rice at Belur Math in Kolkata has won the hearts of his many across the globe.
Sourav Ganguly’s donation of rice at Belur Math in Kolkata came in the wake of relief measure for coronavirus pandemic.
The rice would be donated to the needy and the family of the people affected by the deadly virus, said an official from the Belur Math.
Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday took on to Twitter to tweet the pictures of his visit on his official Twitter handle and he wrote, ‘Visited Belur Math after 25 years handed over 2000 kg of rice for the needy.’
‘Dada’ Takes A Tour Of Math:
Wearing a white shirt with a black mask on his face, Sourav Ganguly took a tour of the math with the officials during his visit.
Ganguly had earlier announced rice worth Rs 50 Lakhs as a part of relief measure for the people affected by COVID 19 pandemic.
The deadly virus has claimed as many as 50 lives across the country and 1700 have been infected till now.
The nation was placed under 21 days of lockdown starting March 24 to arrest the spread of coronavirus infection. Ever since then, the Indian cricketing stars have been at their creative best. Some of them were seen practicing at home, while some were seen exploring their creative best and spending quality time with their family. The best part is, the Cricketers whatever they have been doing during the lockdown period have been updating on their social media handles. This has certainly kept the spirit of the game alive in the minds and hearts of the cricket fans across the country and globe.
