The Big Bash League (BBL) is an Australian professional Twenty20 cricket tournament, which was started by Cricket Australia in the year 2011.
Big Bash League has been continuously sponsored by KFC from the inaugural year. BBL has a great reputation and is one of the two T20 cricket leagues, next to the Indian domestic league which is the Indian Premier League. And it also features amongst the top ten domestic cricket leagues in average attendance.
Big Bash League (BBL) matches are played in Australia during the southern hemisphere summer. The league matches are played during the months of December, January, and February.
Out of the 8 teams in the tournament, six have won the title at least once. The Perth Scorchers are the most successful team in the league’s short history, winning the title three times including consecutively for two years and have reached the final of the tournament in five of the eight seasons.
