Bangladesh vs UAE 2nd T20I:
Match Summary
Bangladesh vs UAE 2nd T20I: Bangladesh defeated the United Arab Emirates by 32 runs on Tuesday in Dubai to win the two-match T20 series. Mosaddek Hossain played a crucial role with both the bat and the ball.
Bangladesh made 169-5 after opening batsman Mehidy Hasan’s 46 off 37 balls established a strong foundation. Followed by steady scoring from Mosaddek (27) and Liton Das (25) for Bangladesh.
In an unbroken 32-run stand over the final three overs. Yasir Ali and Nurul Hasan gave the innings some late momentum. Aryan Lakra bowled three clean overs with figures of 1-14, and 16-year-old left-arm spinner Aayan Afzal Khan took 2-33.
UAE Batting
Aryan Lakra and Vriitya Aravind were removed by Mosaddek in quick succession, as UAE stumbled to a score of 29-4 after losing three wickets for just two runs.
In a partnership of 90, Captain Chundangapoyil Rizwan and Basil Hameed fought valiantly. UAE couldn’t keep up with the required run rate.
UAE concluded the game on 137-5, with Hameed falling for 42 in the penultimate over, and Rizwan scoring his maiden international T20 half-century while remaining undefeated on 51 from 36 balls.
Compared to their tentative start in the first game, Bangladesh was typically a bit more aggressive during this innings. Still, excellent starts didn’t result from the hitters’ good intentions.
Before getting out on lbw while playing a lap sweep in the fourth over, Sabbir Rahman hit a four and a six.
With four boundaries in his first 19 balls as Litton Das, unable to play in the Asia Cup, appeared to be in fine form. However, his clumsy square-cut afterward looped to a point.
Bangladesh Phase
Similar steps were taken by Afif Hossain, who in the most recent game made a career-high unblemished 77. He played a half-shot to an Aayan Azal Khan full-toss and dinked one in the direction of square-leg. Although Karthik Meiyappan made a fantastic catch diving forward, Afif appeared to have wasted a wicket.
Captain Chundangapoyil Rizwan and coach Robin Singh would have reason to be encouraged if Bangladesh were limited to 43 runs in the final five overs.
In three of those overs, Zahoor Khan, the player who took the position of Junaid Siddique for this game, gave out 30 runs. Although his use of pace also misled Nurul Hasan and Yasir Ali multiple times.
