Australia will keep moving forward with its commitment to touring Pakistan in all formats the following month. They will visit Pakistan for the first time in 24 years. Cricket Australia agreed to the revised tour schedule proposed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The 2 teams will play 3 Tests, 3 ODIs, and one T20I. Cricket Australia confirms tour to Pakistan.
According to the updated timetable, the touring group will arrive in Islamabad on February 27 and would spend 1 day in isolation. As per an agreement that emerged between the 2 boards, Australia’s Test team will finish their isolation at home prior to taking a chartered flight. The visitors will begin their practice sessions in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium after one-day isolation stay.

The trip will now begin and conclude in Rawalpindi, with the first Test scheduled for March 4th. The 3-match ODI series as well as the one-off T20I will be held at the very same location. On the other hand, t The 2nd and 3rd Tests will be held in Karachi and Lahore, accordingly. Surprisingly, the ODI and T20I series would overlap with the IPL 2022, which will begin on March 27 and finish on April 5, whereas the tour will end on April 5.
According to Pakistan board Chief Executive Faisal Hasnain, Cricket Australia has announced that its elite players would travel to Pakistan. Given that New Zealand and England postponed their tours last year for various reasons, including safety concerns, as a result, Australia’s visit will be a significant deal for Pakistan.
