AUS vs NZ 2nd Test Update
Australia defeated New Zealand by three wickets to win the second test and the series 2-0 on Monday.
The Australians maintained a dominant route throughout the tour, winning the T20I series 3-0 and earning a win in the test series to prove their strength in both formats.
Chasing a target of 279 in the fourth innings, Australia too faced a mini heartbreak after losing half of its side on 80, but a fightback from Mitchell Marsh (80) and Alex Carey (98) * guided Australia to victory.

Alex Carey missed his century by 2 runs
Carey needed seven runs to complete his century, while the team also needed seven to win the game. He hit a four on the first ball before taking a single on the next. With two runs remaining for Carey to complete his century and the visitors to win, skipper Pat Cummins hit a boundary on the last ball of the over to propel Australia home.
New Zealand were on the verge of breaking its 31-year winless drought against Australia at home after gaining an advantage in the second test by challenging Australia to chase 279 in the fourth innings and dismissing their five primary batters for 80.
However, with no plan against Marsh and Carey, they were dealt another setback, and their hope of ending the drought remained just that.
Carey with an unbeaten 98 was awarded as the player of the match, while Matt Henry of New Zealand, who took 17 wickets in 2 tests named player of the series.
