Ajinkya Rahane feels that Rishabh pant has to consider the fact that he’s going through hard times in his career. Rahane also believes that Pant has to improve himself in order to mark his place in the playing 11.
Rahane suggests that – ” Pant has to respect the management’s decision and need to overcome this phase with a positive attitude”.
Rishabh Pant has Lost His Place In All Three Formats:
Rishabh has been left out of India’s playing XI despite his excellent performance in the previous tours. He is known to be No.1 wicket-keeper for India in West Indies tour – where he had an average of 92 with the bat against West Indies at home and 58 against Australia.
Nevertheless, he wasn’t able to shine in a couple of Test matches in the West Indies tour after the World cup, last year and lost his place over to Saha.
The Indian cricket team management made it clear that Wriddhiman was preferred to that of Pant because of his critical wicket-keeping skills and his form with the bat – But not based on Rishabh’s failures.
Rishabh Pant Did Not Get A Single Chance:
Rishabh Pant has an average of almost 40+ in his previous matches against the West Indies. Still, the Indian team management assigned the wicket-keeping duties to KL Rahul ahead of Pant.
He did not even get a single opportunity in the New Zealand series. Whereas all the least ranked players got a chance to play, but Pant had to watch the whole T20I and ODI series from the Dug-out.
