Aaron Finch Opens Up About His Favourite Ball

Australia’s white-ball skipper Aaron Finch has gone through a similar ordeal last summer when he was awarded the Baggy Green cap. The white-ball opener’s technique was constantly challenged, and following inadequate returns against India, Aaron Finch was dropped from Test cricket.

The right-handed batsman, who has represented Australia in just 5 Tests, scored 278 runs, including two fifties. On the contrary, Finch has delivered impressive performances while donning the Australian jersey in ODIs. Aaron Finch amassed 4559 runs in 119 ODIs at an average of 40.30, including 15 centuries and 24 half-centuries.

During a Q/A session, When a fan asked Finch which ball he would prefer? Red ball? Pink Ball? Finch’s answer was “white ball”.

Aaron Finch led Australia with aplomb in the 2019 World Cup

Aaron Finch had earlier opened up about his ordeal of last summer which he stated as the worst phase of his career.

“To play in Dubai and then come straight back into an ODI and T20 series and Test matches and things like that, its probably been the longest sustained period that I ‘ve played cricket for Australia. In terms of that, it was quite mentally challenging and something that I probably didn’t give the guys who played all three formats of the game enough credit (for) in the past,” the 33-year-old Australian cricketer said.

However, the Australia white-ball skipper has successfully shrugged off his Test match horrors and led his side with aplomb in the 50-over World Cup, both with his bat and as a captain.
