#5 Hardik Pandya (857 balls)

Here is the list of fastest 1000 runs in ODI by the top 5 batsmen. Hardik Pandya is the new-age Indian batsman who loves taking on the game and the opposition. He is an impact player who intimidates the opponents when he is at the crease. Pandya became the fastest Indian to score 1000 runs in terms of the number of balls faced. He reached the milestone in just 857 balls. His strike rate is an outstanding 117.3.

#4 Corey Anderson (854 balls)

His strike rate of 108.7 across 49 games testifies that.

#3 Shahid Afridi (834 balls)

Shahid Afridi was an entertainer. He was pure box-office stuff. Afridi was probably the only cricketer who always played the game in a single fashion. He believed in hitting it out of the park 10 times out of 10. Afridi long held the record for scoring the fastest ODI century (37 balls). He finished his career with an ODI strike rate of 117. Afridi reached the 1000-run milestone mark in 834 balls.

#2 Luke Ronchi (807 balls)

Luke Ronchi holds the distinction in playing for both Australia and New Zealand. It was with the Kiwis though where he really flourished. An attacking batsman by nature, Ronchi reached the 1000 run milestone in just 807 balls. Ronchi finished his career with an ODI strike rate of 114.5 in 85 games.

#1 Andre Russell (767 balls)

The big-hitting Jamaican, Andre Russell is the only cricketer to have reached the landmark of 1000 runs in under 800 balls. Russell touched the milestone in just 767 balls. Despite Russell being labelled a T20 expert, he is a game-changer in the ODIs too. Russell has smashed 94 sixes in 47 innings (2 sixes/innings). His strike rate of 130.2 is simply breathtaking.
