2020 IPL: SRH VS KXIP: SRH Stuttered And Managed To Get Over 200 In The End Against KXIP

The 22nd match of the 13th edition of IPL is going on at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). SRH included Khaleel Ahmed instead of Siddharth Kaul. On the other hand, KXIP has changed three things to the team which was defeated by the Chennai Super Kings team. KXIP replaced Chris Jordan, Harpreet Brar, and Sarfaraz Khan with Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Arshdeep Singh, and Prabhsimran Singh.

Let’s come to the 1st innings:

Sunrisers Hyderabad ( SRH) won the toss and opted to bat first. The opening batsmen Jonny Bairstow and David Warner helped SRH to give an outstanding start. At the end of 1st five overs, SRH scored 52 runs. This was the highest powerplay score of this season bettering 56/1 in Sharjah against Mumbai Indians.

David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, this duo just enjoyed batting together. At the end of 10 overs, David Warner was batting at 40 in 29 balls and Jonny Bairstow got a brace to get half-century. It was really a typical free-flowing innings from Bairstow.

Kings XI Punjab was still searching for the wickets but Warner and Bairstow had remained them. At 13.2 over, Warner continued with fifty.

After scoring 52 runs, Ravi Bishnoi took the 1st wicket of SRH. David Warner went for 52 runs off 40 with the help of 1 six and 5 boundaries.

Jonny Bairstow falls short of only three runs of his century and Bishnoi was able to send back both openers in four deliveries. Bairstow lbw out after scoring 97 runs (6 sixes, 7 boundaries).

At the 1st delivery of 16th over, Manish Pandey was caught & bowled by Arshdeep Singh. In seven balls, 3 wickets down of SRH. Another wicket for Ravi Bishnoi. This time, it was Abdul Samad. In 2.5 overs, SRH lost 4 wickets for only 13 runs.

Arshdeep Singh to Priyam Garg, out caught by Pooran!! What a turnaround by the youngsters of KXIP. Another chip and this time Abhishek Sharma was dismissed by Mohammad Shami.

After 20 overs, SRH scored 201/6.
