Pakistan’s Injury problems continue: Naseem Shah Ruled out for the third Test against England

ENG vs PAK: Naseem Shah Ruled out 

Naseem Shah Ruled out: The 19-year-old Naseem missed the second test in Multan because of a shoulder injury he sustained during the first exam in Rawalpindi. Due to a shoulder injury, Naseem Shah is now unable to play in the third and final test against England.

For the last test, the management of the Pakistani team has not yet announced Naseem’s replacement. Mohammad Wasim, an unproven fast bowler, is included in Pakistan’s 16-man squad, but they only used Mohammad Ali, a specialist seamer, in the second test, and bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf shared the new ball.

PCB’s Official Statement 

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday that Naseem Shah would not be able to play in the third and final test due to a shoulder injury. The National High-Performance Center in Lahore will now further evaluate Naseem’s injury before he begins his recovery, according to the PCB.

The injury to Naseem marks Pakistan’s third setback in the series. Due to a knee ailment, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi was forced to withdraw from the series. Also pacer Haris Rauf pulled up during his test debut at Rawalpindi with a thigh injury.
