South Africa to Prioritize ODI Series Against England Over T20: SA20 2022
Fixtures for the SA20 2022 league are out by Cricket South Africa on Tuesday.
South Africa will be at full strength for a key one-day international series against world champions England early in the following year.
The one-day series, which is a part of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) World Cup Super League, will be accommodated by an eight-day gap in the calendar.
In the league, South Africa is in 11th place: SA20
To be one of the eight automatic qualifiers for the Cricket World Cup in India in October and November of next year, they must win the bulk of their remaining games, three against England and two against the Netherlands.
Between January 27 and February 1, Bloemfontein and Kimberley will host the series versus England.
The T20 break will also allow England players, notably white-ball captain Jos Buttler, who are competing in the SA20, to represent their nation.

The SA20 will begin on January 10 and run daily until January 24 before taking a break till February 2. On February 11, the championship will take place at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
