Steve Peter Devereux Smith, commonly known as Steve Smith was born in Kogarah, New South Wales, Australia on 2 June 1989. Steve Smith is an Australian right-hand batter who is considered as the best batter of modern era especially in the Test cricket and is the backbone of Australian batting lineup in all the three formats of cricket. Steve Smith is the part of Fab 4 Elite group that includes Virat Kohli, Joe Root and Kane Williamson. Steve smith made his debut for Australia as a leg spinner but eventually became a primary batter for the side. Smith has won many ICC awards in his long career of almost a decade and still playing. He also won the ICC Test Player of the decade award (2011-2020). Steve Smith has also played Indian Premier League from season 2010. Steve Smith was first picked up in the Under-19 team of Australia for ICC Under-19 World Cup in 2008. Smith scored 114 runs in the tournament and also took 7 wickets.
