PCB Chief Selector Wasim breaks silence on Mohammad Amir’s future

The left-arm pacer made his last international appearance in august 2020 during the T20I against England. A few months later, He has announced his international retirement and made himself unavailable for the selection. However, Amir had insisted at that time he would be available for consideration, but PCB management ends its tenure.

It has been over a year since the change in management. But Amir is yet to make a return to the side.

Pakistan will return to action in the T20I tr featuring New Zealand and Bangladesh, which begins on October 7. They will be led by Babar Azam and will be aiming to improve in the areas and performance ahead of the world cup. As Pakistan’s middle order is weak to fall quickly. As the batter needs more time to settle on the pitch, this series will be a great workshop for Pakistan.
