Prithvi Shaw, and Sarfaraz Khan bags fourteen awards in the MCA Awards ceremony

Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan dominated the awards section of the recently-concluded MCA Annual function.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) held its annual award function on January 6 at the MCA Club BKC in Mumbai.

Three players dominated the awards section- Prithvi Shaw, Dhawal Kulkarni, and Sarfaraz Khan.

Prithvi Shaw bags Nine MCA Awards:

Nine prizes were given to Prithvi Shaw during the occasion. For Mumbai on the domestic circuit, he has been a prolific batter who has been rewarded for his dominance at the plate in all formats.

“I just want people to feel like they can achieve something great in their lives. We all go through rough times. You’ve got to believe in yourself. And if you believe, you will achieve it,” Prithvi wrote on Instagram.

Sarfaraz Khan gets Five MCA Awards:

Sarfaraz Khan has recently kept in close contact with Mumbai. The wicketkeeper batter has amassed a tonne of runs in domestic tournaments and was the Ranji Trophy‘s leading run-scorer in the 2019–20 and 2021–22 seasons. For it, he was awarded the Late Shri SV Rajadyaksha Trophy.

He amassed 982 runs the previous season and 928 runs in 2019–20. This season, the batter has already racked up 403 runs at an average of 100.75. which, specifically, has two hundreds coming against Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu.

Sarfaraz received some major prizes on Friday for his incredible run of form, which has seen him score 12 hundreds in only 35 first-class games. In addition, he received the Dattu Phadkar Award for Ranji Cricketer of the Year in 2019–20 and 2021–22.

Dhawal Kulkarni takes home Seven MCA Awards:

On the evening, Dhawal Kulkarni also won seven honours. He received numerous accolades for his Ranji Trophy winning campaigns with Mumbai. Additionally, he received recognition for having taken the most wickets for Mumbai in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy season. The veteran took 21 wickets for Mumbai during that season, which saw Mumbai advance to the tournament’s quarterfinals.
