IPL 2022, RR vs RCB: After yet another disastrous outing, Mohammed Siraj registers an unwanted record

In his two overs against Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2, Mohammed Siraj was smacked for three sixes, and he set a record that he would soon want to forget. Here in this article, we talk about Mohammed Siraj Registers An Unwanted Record.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has retained Mohammed Siraj for a hefty Rs 7 crore ahead of the blockbuster IPL auction. In IPL 2022, the club would have expected a lot from the Indian bowler, but Siraj’s efforts this season were a letdown. He was even dropped for a match because of it. He did, however, return to the playing XI for RCB’s playoff matches, although he failed to live up to expectations once again.

Siraj had yet another awful appearance on Friday night when the squad really needed him to play well. He was dismissed for 31 runs in just two overs. In the two overs he bowled against Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2, Siraj was blasted for three sixes and Mohammed Siraj Registers An Unwanted Record he’d rather forget.

In a single season of the Indian Premier League, Siraj has now surrendered the maximum amount of sixes. During the IPL 2022 season, he was hit for 31 sixes. Wanindu Hasaranga, his partner, has been hammered for 30 sixes this season, but he has taken a total of 26 wickets, making him the joint-highest wicket-taker with Yuzvendra Chahal.

Hasaranga is now leading the Purple Cap race, due to his economy rate of 7.54, which is slightly better than Chahal’s. Siraj, on the other hand, has an overall economy rate of 10.07 and has only taken nine wickets in 15 games this season.

Dwayne Bravo of the West Indies held the unfavorable record prior to the 2022 season, having been hammered for 29 sixes in the 2018 tournament. Chahal, who has been a revelation for RR this season, makes the top five list twice. In the 2015 season, he was hit for 28 sixes, and in IPL 2022, he has been smacked for 27 sixes.
