IND VS SL: After a short break the star batter Virat Kohli is all set to return to the Indian team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
The former Indian captain has his eyes set on several records in the upcoming three-match series. The 34-year-old returned to form in the 50-over format with a sublime century against Bangladesh in the third ODI last year.
With the three-game series beginning on Tuesday. Kohli is one century short of matching batting legend Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most home One Day International centuries. The 34-year-old has smashed a number of Master Blasters records. But given Tendulkar’s magnificence, there are still many more for him to break.
During his brilliant ODI career, Tendulkar scored 20 hundred in 164 home games. While Kohli is right behind him with 19 tonnes in 101 ODIs, the batting prodigy’s most recent home century came against Australia in March 2019.

He has so far scored 2220 runs against Sri Lanka in 47 matches at an astonishing average of 60. While Tendulkar scored 3113 runs in 84 matches against the neighbouring nation.
