Indian Pacer Umesh Yadav turns 35 today

Happy Birthday Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav was bowling in the Duleep Trophy against players like VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid just two seasons after playing professionally. Son of a coal worker, Umesh desired to join the military or police. Umesh, at 19 years old, came to cricket as a last resort after exhausting all other options. In the Ranji Trophy, Umesh plays for the Vidarbha team, and in the Indian Premier League, he plays for Kolkata Knight Riders (IPL).

Early Life

Umesh Yadav was born on October 25, 1987. Since he was a little child, Umesh has been attracted by the sport of cricket. Prior to turning pro, Umesh tried in vain to join the army and police. Yadav attempted to join the college cricket team but was rejected because, before 2007, he had only ever played tennis ball cricket and had never played for any clubs.

Test Debut

Indian fast bowler Umesh Yadav turns 35 today. In November 2011 against the West Indies, Umesh Yadav made his Test debut for India. Since then, he has played for his nation in 49 red-ball cricket matches and taken 154 wickets. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a picture on its official Twitter account to celebrate his birthday.

Turning Point

He picked up 20 wickets for Vidarbha in four games during his rookie season. In 2010, the Delhi Daredevils, now known as the Delhi Capitals, selected him for the Indian Premier League (IPL).

He received his Test call-up and was chosen as Praveen Kumar’s replacement for the 2010 T20 World Cup in the same year. He has now added several achievements to his resume, but his professional journey is far from over.

The second test against the West Indies in Hyderabad in 2018 saw Umesh Yadav’s finest bowling effort in a Test inning.

Difficult Phase

On the team, Umesh’s position confirmed. However, injuries continued to crop up throughout the course of his career. This also caused a decline in his speed. In Test cricket, though, he continued to perform well. Although Umesh’s performance in ODIs was undoubtedly inconsistent. In 2015, part of India’s World Cup squad. He contributed significantly to India reaching the semi-finals and finished with 18 wickets in the competition.
