David Warner Praises his partner Prithvi Shaw

David Warner Praises his partner Prithvi Shaw, his opening partner for the Delhi Capitals, for his attacking style of play. Shaw is teeing off, and he has absolutely overtaken his senior batting partner by slamming boundaries with ease.
David Warner is ecstatic to be opening the batting order with him. In an interview, he mentioned “I am absolutely loving it (opening innings with Shaw). Look how fast his hands are and his eyes are incredible. He’s taken my quick twos out of the equation because he keeps dealing with boundaries. It’s good that I don’t have to run too much. Well, he sets the tone for us from ball one. In this format, it is very rare to see two guys go off, so that’s something we keep at the back of our minds i.e. to keep playing positive and to the best of our abilities.”
Earlier to IPL, Prithvi had failed the Yo-Yo fitness test and that incited a lot of rumors. Prithvi kept his patience and after a brief struggle started to hit off with Warner who has been an incredible partner to him. The dynamic duo has a much similar batting style where they prefer to hit the ball cleanly and don’t mind running fast between the wickets making it balanced innings. With his performance, he has shut the murmur about him and has garnered accolades from many critics including Shane Watson who praised the youngster for his aggressive yet sensible batting.
Delhi Capitals will take on mighty Rajasthan Royal tonight and it will be an interesting contest where both the teams have amongst the best in form opening pairs of IPL 2022. It will be interesting to see which team nails it tonight and goes back to the hotel with a happy face.
