The young bowling sensation and the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s most trusted bowler in this year’s IPL grabbed everyone’s attention with his impeccable bowling talent along with his 150+ bowling speed skill. Since the start of the 2022 IPL, the J&K bowler has been closely observed to be selected for the Indian team in near future and also about his potential to clock 150+ deliveries consistently.

According to a report by Inside sport, one of the members of the Selection Committee has said that the selection committee members are watching the speedster very closely, and he will surely be on the selector’s radar for the upcoming South Africa tour. “Anyone who can bowl as fast as Umran Malik is bowling is a special talent. Everyone is impressed with his pace. He will surely be on selector’s radar,” as per the source.

Sunrisers bowling coach Dale Steyn also lavished praise on the Umran and expressed that he is a big fan of Malik and he loves to see him bowling too fast.

“My primary job with Umran is to make sure that he runs fast and force batters to play him differently. It’s really exciting for us to just sit in the dugout and witness what a genius he is,” Steyn said on the ‘Star Sports’ ‘Cricket Live’ program.

Some days back, the former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar also shared his thoughts on the rise of Umran Malik but with few suggestions. While commenting on the live IPL match, Gavaskar said, “If he bowls wicket-to-wicket and controls the wide’s down the leg side, he will be a tremendous bowler.” Umran already has picked nine wickets from six games for the Hyderabad franchise.

Umran Malik will be seen playing in the SRH’s upcoming match against Chennai Super Kings on May 01, 2022.
