BCCI denied MS Dhoni From Mentoring SA’s CSK?

The Indian Premier League franchises have bought the teams in South Africa Cricket T20 League, Where around 6 IPL teams have extended their ownership in South Africa, intending to spread cricket all over the world.

BCCI was not happy with the decision made by the IPL franchises but the BCCI has no right in stopping the owners from buying new teams elsewhere, but the BCCI has the power to stop the current cricketers from participating in other domestic leagues.

The BCCI is concerned and doesn’t want its players to play in other leagues because the Indian Premier League may lose its exclusivity.

Now with the recent rumor that MS Dhoni is set to be the mentor of CSK based franchise in the South Africa T20 league.
BCCI has reportedly denied saying “It’s clear, no Indian player including domestic players can take part in any other league until he is retired from all forms of the game. If any player wants to take part in these upcoming leagues he can only do so when he cuts off all ties with the BCCI.”

Dhoni is technically retired from international cricket in all formats and thus some people taught it would be possible for MSD to participate in the CSA T20 league but the officials in a recent statement stated that “If Dhoni wants to mentor CSK’s team in CSA T20 league he would first have to stop playing IPL. “Then he can’t play IPL for CSK. He has to retire here first.”

Even Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist commented on the BCCI restrictions stating “I’m not criticizing the IPL, but why won’t Indian players come and play in the Big Bash league? I’ve never had an open and honest answer: Why are some leagues accessing every player in the world? No Indian player plays in any other T20 league.”

The BCCI has always been strict when it comes to the Indian cricketers who want to play in other leagues they will have to cut ties with the BCCI first. Many players have struggled with this kind of issue before and BCCI has always stood on one decision.
