Team update

New Zealand

The top batters in the highest runs list of the series are from New Zealand that clearly justifies their team’s position in this series, despite already securing the series the Kiwis will look to play with the similar eleven as part of their ICC Champions Trophy preparations, which will commence from next month.

Sri Lanka

Kamindu Mendis is Sri Lanka top scorer. He played a 64-run knock in the second game that the Island team lost by 113 runs. However, their spinner Mahesh Theekshana enjoyed a good run in the last clash, having claimed four wickets in his ten overs. Dunith Wellalage may get a chance to play in the final ODI, as he adds an additional all-round option.

NZ vs SL: Who will win?

Just like the T20I series, Sri Lanka will aim to end the 50-over format series on a high note. However, looking at New Zealand’s current form and performance in the series, they will likely to start this game as favourites.
