SPL Offering Big Payments Competes With World-Class Leagues!

South Africa T20 league: Chennai Super Kings has bought Johannesburg based team in the new T20 league in South Africa, where few Ex-CSK players will be seen participating in the league and even some retired cricketers, it is even understood that former black caps captain and the current CSK head Coach Stephen Fleming as the head coach.

The money paid ($300,000) to the players is one of the main attractions where top players would love to come to South Africa and play some matches and make something out of it for themselves.

Reportedly five other IPL franchises have also shown interest in the league and have started the process to buy the teams based in South Africa, one such team is Mumbai Indians.

Graeme Smith the current League commissioner also stated that there will be 30 marquee players who will sign up for the campaign. He also said that “Having world-class South African players playing with some of the best cricketers around the world makes for some outstanding cricket.

I’m mostly excited for the young and upcoming talent in our cricket pipeline. They will get to rub shoulders with some experienced and talented players which will no doubt inspire and help them to raise their own game.”

“The League’s priority is to help strengthen our domestic cricket structures while putting on an exciting and entertaining cricketing showpiece. Our player regulations have been thoughtfully drafted in consultation with the franchises and everyone is ready to get going. We’re looking forward to seeing how the teams match up and how the franchises will build their squads.”

Players from Pakistan are banned from playing IPL and are allowed to play in other leagues carried out in different parts of the world, so this could be a better opportunity for the Pak players to tie up with Indian owners.
