Should Shaheen Afridi Play Pakistan’s Next Match? Shahid Afridi Answers: ICC T20 World Cup

Shahid Afridi, a former captain of Pakistan, has voiced his opinion.  Whether Shaheen should be included in the starting lineup for the upcoming game.

Shaheen Afridi: Pakistan’s concern with Shaheen Shah Afridi’s performance at the current T20 World Cup is significant. Despite Undergoing rehabilitation Shaheen got selected for Pakistan’s T20 World Cup squad despite just undergoing rehabilitation. Shaheen missed the Asia Cup last month owing to a knee ailment. However, things haven’t gone according to plan for Pakistan because Shaheen hasn’t played well in the team’s first two matches, which they lost to Zimbabwe and India, respectively.

Former captain Shahid Afridi has expressed his opinion on whether Shaheen should be included in the starting XI on Sunday because Pakistan has to win their next match against the Netherlands.

While everyone wants Shaheen to get back on track, according to Afridi, the captain and management should select which players should play and which should sit out.

“I will not say much still three games left. It’s up to the captain to decide if he wants to play Shaheen or not. But if feel, if you have five bowlers, don’t expect all of them to perform. The same is the case with the batters. So, we want Shaheen to get back into rhythm. I think he bowled better against Zimbabwe than India. Our bowlers have to warm up before the match. You can’t go into a match thinking that you will pick up the pace after bowling two-three balls. That’s not the case as batters are ready to target you,” Afridi said during a discussion.

With two defeats from two outings, Pakistan sits fifth in the points, ahead of bottom-placed Netherlands.

On the other hand, the campaign hasn’t been a remarkable one for both team. In the two matches that they played so far in this tournament. Pakistan has been performing their cricket all together

PAK Vs ZIM

Both teams will face off on Sunday in Perth. PAK Vs ZIM

As Zimbabwe restricted them to get a small total of 130 there was batting failure in the side. They have the caliber to play good cricket in the future. The Netherlands is currently standing at the bottom of the list. This will be a crucial game for both of these sides. And a win here for either of the sides will set the tournament wide open for other teams as well.

Who can win the game?

Watching the team combination there are more chances Pakistan is expected to win this match.
