Indian captain Rohit Sharma on Saturday became the first Indian player to hit 300 fours in T20Is. During the second T20I against England, Rohit accomplished this distinction by scoring 31 runs off 20 balls and smashing three fours and two sixes to bring his total number of fours to 301.

IND Vs ENG 1st T20 Highlights:

Talking about the match, Team India’s openers pounded English bowlers in the power play to give the team a quick start.

The team’s captain, Rohit Sharma, who gave them a fast start in the first T20, repeated that performance and smashed 31 runs off just 19 balls. Unfortunately, he was caught by England’s skipper Jos Buttler while attempting to pull the ball.

In just 4.5 overs, the new opening partnership of Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant have put up 49 runs for the first wicket. Pant, who played a T20 knock in the recently finished test match, entered the field as India’s opener and managed to provide a great start with a score of 26 off 16.

However, Virat Kohli was unable to create any magic once more and returned to the pavilion after only scoring one run.

The most productive Indian hitter, Ravindra Jadeja, nevertheless managed to keep his team in the game. He helped his team establish a score they could defend in the second game of the series with an unbroken 46 runs off just 29 deliveries.

England’s batting:

Chasing the target of 171, England batters found it tough after losing its opener Jason Roy on the very first ball of the innings by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Indian bowlers didn’t gave them any extra room to score quick runs and took wickets in quick intervals to hand India a victory by 49 runs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged the most number of wickets for India (3). Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal grabbed 2-2. While Hardik Pandya and Harshal Patel took a wicket each.

The third and final T20I of the three-match series will be played on Sunday at Nottingham.
