Actor Kichcha Sudeep recently received a surprise present from Rajasthan Royals, and he turned to Twitter to disclose what it was. The Royals, who placed second in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, handed him a bat signed by none other than Jos Buttler, the Orange Cap winner.
Kichcha Sudeep posted a video on Instagram praising the Rajasthan Royals and Buttler for the unusual present, which he described as “a tremendous surprise” and said he received with “great Happiness.” “A big hug to this sweet surprise and the sweetest gesture. Thank you @josbuttler,” He tweeted the video along with it.

Buttler was the standout performer of the season, amassing 863 runs in 17 games with a strike rate of 149.05.
On the record of highest runs by a batsman in a single IPL season, he is presently only behind Virat Kohli’s 973 runs from the 2016 season. He became only the third player in history to score more than 800 runs in a single season, surpassing David Warner’s 848 runs in 2016.
Buttler also tied Virat Kohli for the hundreds in a single IPL season with four. Kohli had accomplished the feat in 2016, of course.
Buttler’s exploits were instrumental in the Royals reaching the IPL final in 2022.
They were unable to go all the way, however, Gujarat Titans defeated them in the final to win the title in their first season.
It was only the Royals’ second appearance in an IPL final. They only played in the final once before, in the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008, when they won the trophy under the late great Shane Warne’s guidance.
RR, on the other hand, will be pleased with their performance regardless of the loss. Players such as Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Sen, R Ashwin, Riyan Parag, and Shimron Hetmyer have given them a lot of confidence heading into the 2023 season.
