India Deaf Cricket team lifts DICC T20 Champions Trophy 2022

DICC T20 Champions Trophy: Indian Deaf cricket team was the one undefeated crew in the event the place. In this tournament, India spirited up the presence with ball and bat, and the men in blue posted 141 runs. With that, they maintained the win against South Africa by 39 runs in the DICC T20 championship.

DICC T20 Championships Trophy 2022: The tournament took place at Malek stadium, Ajman, UAE. Virender Singh, the skipper of the squad with his good knock took the scoreboard to a winning score. While chasing the 141 targets, South Africa has been bundled by the Indian Bowlers at 101 runs. Earlier, India Posted 140 runs within the Stipulated 20 overs with 4 wickets down.

Virender Singh scored 50 not out who later was the highest run run-maker of the match. While Indrajeet Yadav assisted the team with 40 runs. While other batters took the charge and took the target to 140 with a loss of 4 wickets.

South African players, S Poonsamy and A McGee produced an advantageous bowling present to beat the host by 4 wickets in the final at Malek Stadium.

On the other hand, After India efficiently sorted out their batting, with their middle order, India took 10 wickets. South African deaf participants R du Plessis also took the charge in the batting.

Roma Balwani, CEO of the Indian Deaf Association (IDCA) said “Congratulations to Team India Deaf Cricket.”

On successful DICC T20 Championships Trophy 2022 event. Roma Balwani, CEO of Indian Deaf Association (IDCA) said “It was a very special tournament because it was team IDCA’s first international tournament after the pandemic. Following the last tournament held in India in 2018.” This tournament demanded tremendous leadership from the captain. Who was ably assisted by coaches M.P Singh and Dev Dutt. The team’s resilience and tenacity in winning all of the round-robin rounds and the semi-final to emerge victorious today is admirable. ”
