Ishan Kishan Is Upset On Comments For a B-side Team Not Capable of Beating SA

IND vs SA 2022: Playing in front of his home crowd on Sunday at Ranchi. Indian batter Ishan Kishan narrowly missed out on his maiden ODI century.

As India leveled, the 24-year-old wicketkeeper batter put up a matching partnership with centurion Shreyas Iyer. The ODI series with a seven-wicket over South Africa. Kishan, who missed out on his ton by just seven runs, opened up about his blistering knock at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. He said there is no need to Rotate strike when one can hit sixes effortlessly as he does.

“Some players can rotate the strike, but my strength is hitting sixes. Not many people can hit sixes as easily as I can. There’s no need to think about rotating the strike if I do the job by hitting sixes “Kishan, who hit an 84-ball 93, stated during the post-match press conference.

If a player has the strength to hit sixes, then they should take the call, then what’s the point of making single runs? But also rotating the strike is a key plan to defend the bowlers’ line and length Kishan concluded.

It feels bad when you are not part of the Side the big tournaments.

Ishan Kishan also missed his hundred in IPL 2020 when playing for MUMBAI INDIANS as an opener he was dismissed at 99. He was chasing Royal challengers Bangalore. It was 5 off two balls and I got out for 99 in the IPL. If I thought about rotating the strike, then it would have been difficult to win.

It is always disappointing to get dismissed at 93 for a set batsman, but I think it was a good contribution to the team. It was very important to gain momentum for the team initially in the 2nd innings. To lessen off the pressure from  the next batters.

As Ishan Kishan who played in the last edition’s T20 World cup in UAE missed out on a berth for this edition. Even after his extraordinary performance in IPL 2022, he is not in the world cup squad. While talking about making it to the squad he quoted “Obviously it feels bad when you are not part of the side for a big Tournament like World cup.

Later in the talk, Kishan Admitted he had some “Shortcomings” for which he had to miss the world cup in Australia. As selectors would have noticed the flaws in me so they have not selected me, so it’s about improving myself.

India got back in the series with a 1-1 win, after an easy loss at Lucknow. As Rohit Sharma is in Australia with the world cup squad for world cup. Here another squad is in action against Proteas.

On this, he said I heard people saying that we are the B side, we are not so much capable of beating South Africa full strength side I heard these comments and that made us upset. So, we really wanted to play the A game.

We lost the first game but wanted to win this game to give a good fight to Proteas. We opened about 161. They had two left-arm spinners so a left batter I had the chance to hit big.
