India Vs England: Playing XI, team Combinations and players to watch out

Ind vs ENG 2nd T20I Playing XI:

Team India is all set to play the 2-match T20I series against England on June 09 at Edgbaston.

After beating England in the first T-20 by 50 runs, the mighty Indian side will be looking to make the most out it. Earlier, the Indian side defeated Ireland by 2-0 and beat the county clubs of England in two consecutive games to boast their confidence.

India, who played their first game without their main star players still managed to win the first game is certainly a good thing.

England, not a weak team either. They have plenty of reliable players in their side who hold the ability to turn the game into their teams’ favour. But playing against the no.1 side in the world will be tough question to answer for them in the series.

England has a strong team as well. They have plenty of dependable players on their squad who can turn the game in their teams’ favour. However, facing off against the best team in the world will be a difficult question for them to resolve.

Team Combinations:

For India, The proven opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma are all set to start the proceedings followed by Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, while Dinesh Karthik is the perfect wicket-keeper batter and Ravindra Jadeja will be an ideal all-rounder to be included in the team.

However, it will tough for both skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid to decide whom to include in team and whom to give rest.

During the 1st game, main players like Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah were not the part of the squad due to workload management. But they are all in squad for the remaining limited-over games against England.

But, it will a headache to choose the playing XI as in their absence team beat England that too by big margin.

Deepak Hooda, the new entrant in the team, had a great Ireland tour, followed by strong first game against England. But, he have to make way for Virat Kohli. Similarly, Rahul Tripathi and Arshdeep Singh both have to make ways for team India’s star players.

Jasprit Kumar will lead the Indian fast bowling department with Bhuvneshwar Kumar while Yuzvendra Chahal will be an ideal spin choice to use in England conditions.

Jason Roy and the skipper Jos Buttler will lead the openers challenge for England, while the Dawid Malan to play at No.3, followed by strong middle order consists of Liam Livingstone, Harry Brook. While the batting and bowling all-rounders George Moeen Ali and Sam Curran will take care of the tough overs if they get the chance.

Tymal Mills will a tough bowler to face in initial overs for India. While, Chris Jordan, Reece Topley and Matthew Parkinson will be a handy options for England against Inida.

Players to watch out for

The biggest thread for the English side in the second T20 would be the in-form batter Rohit Sharma.

India’s dependable batter Virat Kohli, who missed the first T20 due to workload management, is back in the squad and is ready to roar. While the dangerous finishers Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya can give headache to England in the 2nd T20.

Liam Livingstone, the skipper Jos Buttler, and Moeen Ali are the strongest players in England side.

The third match of the series will be played on July 10 at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
