Happy Birthday Rishabh Pant
The next major Indian athletic icon, Rishabh Pant is quickly rising to prominence. Due to his cheery attitude and brave cricket, the endearing 24-year-old has a huge fan base. Due to his skill with the bat, Pant has won the admiration of the entire country.
Rishabh Pant was born in the Indian town of Roorkee to Rajendra Pant and Saroj Pant. In order to train with Tarak Sinha at the Sonnet Cricket Academy, Pant, then 12 years old, would take weekend trips to Delhi with his mother. He and his mother stayed at a Gurdwara in Moti Bagh as they couldn’t find a suitable house in the city.
Early Cricket Life
In the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy on October 22, Pant made his first-class debut. In the 2015-16 Vijay Hazare Trophy the following month, Pant made his List A debut.
Pant became the third-youngest Indian to record a triple century in first-class cricket during a 2016–17 Ranji Trophy match against Maharashtra with a total of 308 runs in one inning. Pant got the Ranji Trophy’s fastest century, off 48 balls, against Jharkhand on November 8, 2016.

The left-handed batsman is a crucial member of team India’s lineup and has made a name for himself as one of the most entertaining athletes in the world. He is renowned for his forceful manner and daring Strokeplay.
Achievements
- Most dismissals in a Test series record is named after Rishabh Pant, who currently owns the record for the most dismissals in a series. During the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship, the Indian wicketkeeper set a record of 39 dismissals in 10 Test matches.
- Rishabh Pant also shares the record for catching the most balls in a Test match with another player. Pant set a record by taking 11 catches in an Australia-India Test match that was contested at Adelaide in December 2018. Pant shares the record with South African AB de Villers and Englishmen Robert Russell.
- First Indian to begin his Test career with a six. At Trent Bridge, in the third game of the series, Rishabh Pant made his Test debut during India’s 2018 tour of England. Pant hit an Adil Rashid delivery for a six to register his first runs in Test cricket. Pant opened his Test career with a maximum with that six, becoming the first Indian batsman to do so.
- First Indian wicketkeeper to score a century in England. During the Oval Test, the fifth and final game of the series, Rishabh Pant scored his first Test century. Pant’s hundred made him the first wicketkeeper from India to score a Test century on English soil.
- The first Indian wicketkeeper to score 100 runs (Century) in Australia. During India’s 2018–19 tour of Australia, the wicketkeeper made a record-breaking 159 runs in Sydney.
