Happy Birthday Jimmy Neesham: The Hard-Hitting New Zealand all-rounder

Happy Birthday Jimmy Neesham: Jimmy Neesham, also known as James Douglas Sheahan Neesham, is a cricket player for New Zealand who competes in all formats of the game. He was born on September 17, 1990. He was born in Auckland and has represented the provinces of Auckland, Otago, and Wellington in first-class cricket.

Neesham began his first-class career with Auckland, but a switch to Otago Volts worked well for him, as he hit three 40-plus runs in seven innings in the 2011/12 season, all at more than a run a ball. He also contributed to the wickets with a career-high 5 for 44 against Wellington and 4 for 23 against Canterbury. He was quickly rewarded by being named to the limited-overs teams for the visit to South Africa later.

When he struck a hundred against India in Wellington on his Test debut, Neesham had one of his most illustrious moments as a cricket player for his country. He then backed it up with a hundred in the West Indies, demonstrating his strength.

When ESPNcricinfo tweeted birthday wishes for Jimmy Neesham, tweeted back on the post saying “Why’d you have to ruin a great tweet, Suryakumar Yadav???”

Lately, the 32-year-old made headlines after declining a New Zealand central contract. In order to clarify his choice, the all-around player also posted a message on Instagram.

“I know the news of my decision to decline a central contract today will be seen as me choosing money over representing my country,”

“I had planned to accept a contract offer in July, however since being left off the list I have committed to other leagues around the world. It was a difficult decision but I have decided to honor those commitments rather than go back on my word to re-sign with NZ Cricket. Playing for New Zealand has been the greatest honor of my career and I remain committed to taking the field with my countrymen for the foreseeable future, especially in pinnacle world events.”

Let’s wish a happy birthday Jimmy Neesham, pray for his welfare, and give him our best wishes for the future on this significant day.
