Touchdown Pakistan: 17 years of long-haul comes to an end as English team arrives

England vs Pakistan T20I series: Pakistan was compelled to play international matches in neutral locations like the UAE after a fatal 2009 attack by Islamist terrorists on the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore. In 2012 and 2015, they hosted England for a series at home.

After a long wait of 17 years, England Squad arrives in Karachi, Pakistan for the T20I series starting on 20th September.

Law enforcement agencies have secured comprehensive security arrangements on the team’s transit routes from the airport to the hotel and stadium for England’s historic tour to Pakistan. The England team will be transported during their stay in the city by bulletproof buses.

International cricket has slowly made a comeback in Pakistan over the past four/to five years, and earlier this year, Australia completed a successful tour for the first time in almost two decades.

England will face off Pakistan in a seven-match T20I series before traveling to Australia for the T20 World Cup. This will be a huge test for both England and Pakistan as it is a T20I series, this series will help fans understand how teams are preparing for the T20 World Cup.
