It was the pair of David Willey and Reece Topley who outshined the South African side by dismissing their top 3 batters when they were at 6 runs while the fourth one got run out. After that, other bowlers too joined the party and with combined efforts of all, they restricted them to 83.

Sam Curran was awarded the player of the match title for his impressive 35 runs knock at a crucial time with the bat and for his sound bowling performance where he gave only 5 runs in 2 overs and also removed one batter.
