Babar Azam’s Future in Pakistan Cricket: In an interesting turn of events, questions started to pop up on the situation of Babar Azam and his captaincy, where the Pakistan Cricket Board first trusted Babar Azam with the task of the 2024 T20 World Cup. However, the campaign did not go as expected when they lost to the USA, and India in the group stages which led to the elimination of the Pakistan team from the T20 World Cup 2024.
The disappointing ending from the T20 World Cup has once again lifted the question of the future of Babar Azam. Jason Gillespie the Pakistan cricket team coach confirmed that Shah Masood the current skipper of the Pakistan Test team will continue to lead the team in the 2024-25 season.
