The United States of America cricket team has created history by beating Bangladesh in the second successive game in the 3-match T20I competition to secure the series. The win also handed them their first series win over a full-member T20I side.

The series was started on May 21, when USA after winning the toss opted to field first and restricted the Asian team to a below par 153. Tawhid Hridoy was the highest run-scorer for Bangladesh with a 47-ball 58.
Bangladesh was still in the game when they dismissed half of the US side on 94 in 14.5 overs.

With 60 required off the last 30, Corey Anderson and Harmeet Singh took control of the game on their shoulders and made the tough task possible for the US to create history.
The former New Zealand player Corey Anderson scored a not out 25-ball 34, while Harmeet Singh played an unbeaten knock of 33 in just 13 balls and guided USA to 5-wicket win.
Bangladesh invited USA to bat first in the second over and allowed them to score only 144 runs in their 20 overs.
Despite losing the first wicket in the opening over of their innings, Bangladesh managed to keep themselves in the game till 10.2 overs.
The departure of Bangladesh’s skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto left the team in hurdle and the visiting side faced a collapse.

The Bangla Tigers were still in game till veteran Shakib Al Hasan (30 off 23 balls) was there, but as soon as he walked back, Bangladesh once again found themselves in trouble and lost the game by six runs.
Ali Khan starred with the ball for USA with 25 for 3 and won player of the match for his solid play.
The third and final T20I of the series will be played on Saturday at the same venue, Prairie View Cricket Complex, Houston.
