Warm-Up Game Details as Teams Gear Up for Five-Test Series
India will play five Test matches in the Border Gavaskar Trophy starting from November 22 to January 7. In preparation for the Trophy, teams generally participate in a warm-up game against local teams, but now the India Team will battle against their own team India ‘A’.
For this warm-up match, the Indian team is captained by Rohit Sharma, while India ‘A’ is potentially led by Ruturaj Gaikwad. This internal warm-up match is reportedly scheduled from November 15 to 17 at the Western Australian Cricket Association in Perth.
However, India ‘A’ will be there before this internal warm-up match as India ‘A’ has a Two match Test toure against Australia ‘A’ starting on October 31, where the first Test will be played at Great Barrier Reef Arena, Mackay while the second Test scheduled at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne.

As per the report by Cricbuzz: When Indian officials asked for an official warm-up game, a Cricket Australia (CA) official said no, stating that no countries will play warm-up matches these days and said Australia did not play any warm-up matches before the last series in India.
A CA official said, “It’s (an) internal (match), so up to India how they use the game. Maybe some of the Test players may play in the India A games but again up to the BCCI. Not many countries seem to play warm up games these days. Australia didn’t play any before the last series in India,”

For the first time after 30 years, India and Australia are going to play a full-fledged five-match Test series.
1st Test: November 22 – 26 at Perth
2nd Test: December 06 – 10 at Adelaide
3rd Test: December 14 – 18 at Brisbane
4th Test: December 26 – 30 at Melbourne
5th Test: January 03 – 07 at Sydney
