This marked Pakistan’s first ever defeat against Bangladesh in red-ball cricket history. Let’s look at the reasons behind Pakistan’s loss against Bangladesh in first test.

Overconfident Decision

A perfect start ended on a disastrous note due to team Pakistan’s overconfident decision of declaring the innings despite their one of main batter at the middle at was on 171.

Their calculation of declaring the first innings at 448 to invite the visitors bat for at least the final one hour on second day not only backfired but cost them the game.

Batting Failure

Pakistan was way ahead in the game when they were batting in first innings despite a top-order collapse. All credits to their 448 goes to Saud Shakeel’s 141 and Mohammad Rizwan’s 171*.

Things again did not fall in line for the Pakistani batters, who failed in first innings, not managed to show this charisma in second innings as well. Saud Shakeel also joined their party. It was Rizwan’s 51 that helped them pass the loss by an innings test.
