Team India’s 2024 started with a strong ICC T20 World Cup Win, but as the year progressed the team’s performances started to hit a low point. Batting Performance
India’s batting performance in 2024 was mixed with both highs and lows across all formats. In Tests, they recorded eight wins but also lost six tests in 15 matches. In ODIs, they struggled against Sri Lanka, losing the three-match series 2-0 and the last ODI resulted in a draw.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was the standout batsman, scoring 1,478 Test runs, while Shubman Gill added 866 runs. Rohit Sharma had a tough time in Tests but had a better performance in ODIs and T20Is. Virat Kohli had a disappointing year, managing only 655 runs across formats. While young players showed promise, key veterans faced significant challenges throughout the year.

Bowling Performance
In 2024, Indian bowlers showcased impressive performances across all formats. Arshdeep Singh was a standout in T20Is, finishing as the joint-highest wicket-taker at the T20 World Cup with 17 wickets. His best performance came against the USA, where he claimed four wickets for just nine runs.
In Tests, Jasprit Bumrah dominated, leading India’s charge with an outstanding 71 test wickets in a year. His consistent performances elevated him to one of the top positions in the ICC Test rankings.
