Kyle Jamieson was born in Auckland, New Zealand on 30 December 1994. Kyle Jamieson is a Kiwi right-arm medium-fast bowler who can also bat in the lower middle order for the team. Kyle Jamieson has been a part of the New Zealand cricket team for the past 2 years in all the formats of cricket and has been emerging as one of the main fast bowlers of the squad. Kyle Jamieson came into the limelight as presently, he is the tallest fast bowler in the world with a height of 6 feet 8 inches. Kyle Jamieson played a crucial role for the national side in winning their first-ever ICC trophy in 2021 i.e. ICC World Test Championship 2019-21.

At the age of 19 years, Kyle Jamieson made his List A debut while playing for Canterbury in the Ford Trophy Tournament. Few days later, Kyle Jamieson was selected in the squad for ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Jamieson had a

remarkable start in the tournament. He took 4 wickets in his first match. However, his team lost the match. New Zealand only played 3 matches in the tournament and knocked out in the league stage. However, Kyle Jamieson left an impact and picked 6 wickets in his 3 matches.

In October 2014, Kyle Jamieson was picked up in the Canterbury squad and played his maiden first-class match against Wellington in Plunket Shield Season. The debut match didn’t go down well for Jamieson and he failed to pick any wicket in the match.

Two years later in 2016, Kyle Jamieson made his T20 debut for his domestic team.

In 2018, Kyle Jamieson shifted to Auckland team from his present team Canterbury. The change came down really well for Jamieson and he started performing well in the matches.

Jamieson was named Player of the match. On his Debut, As Kyle Jamieson stepped on the ground he set a record of tallest bowler ever to play International cricket for New Zealand.

Few days later, Kyle Jamieson made his test debut against India and also picked his maiden five-wicket haul in the second match of the series.

In November 2020, Kyle Jamieson made his T20I debut against West Indies.

In a test against Pakistan in January 2021, Kyle Jamieson took 11 wickets in a match registering his career best figures within a year of his debut.

In the ICC World Test Championship final in Southampton, England, Kyle Jamieson picked 7 wickets in the match including 5-wicket haul and helped his team in lifting an ICC Trophy for the first time ever in the history.
