Kane William Richardson, popularly known as Kane Richardson was born in Eudunda, South Australia on 12 February 1991. Kane Richardson is an Australian right-arm medium-fast bowler who has been a part of the Australian limited-overs squad for the past many years. Kane Richardson is also an efficient batter in the lower-middle order for any team. He has been in and out of the team due to injuries and some average performances. Kane Richardson has given many remarkable performances in the domestic cricket for Australia. He is often known as the white ball specialist and hasn’t made any red-ball appearance for Australia in his career as of now. He has also been a part of the Under-19 Australia team that won the ICC Under-19 World Cup back in 2010. Kane Richardson has also played Indian Premier League in a few seasons for Pune Warriors and Rajasthan Royals.

Kane Richardson started off his domestic career playing for the Southern Redbacks in the Big Bash in 2009. He made his T20 debut for in the league and
few months later Kane Richardson made his One day debut for the redbacks in Ford Ranger Cup in 2009.
Kane Richardson was picked up in the squad of Australia for the ICC Under-19 World Cup in 2010. Kane played an important role in the tournament and helped his team in winning the tournament including his 3 wickets against Ireland in league stage and 44 runs knock in the finals against Pakistan.
In 2010, he was picked up to play against India Under-19 and took a 5-wicket haul in his first match of Youth test series.
In 2011 Big Bash, Kane Richardson played an important role for his team and also took 3 wickets in the finals against New South Wales and helped his team in winning the tournament.
Kane Richardson made his first-class debut in 2013 for South Australia in Sheffield Shield Trophy match. Kane Richardson also made a record of taking wickets in all his debut domestic matches within first 3 overs.
In 2012-13, Kane Richardson picked up 21 wickets in 5 matches in the Ryobi Cup tournament and emerged as the leading wicket taker of the league and it also helped him in making his international debut.
At the end of 2014 domestic season, Kane Richardson picked 11 wickets in 2 matches against Victoria and New South Wales.
In 2015, Kane Richardson got injured and remained out of the domestic season for almost a year. He made comeback in 2016 playing for Australia A. Richardson was always seen as a talented bowler but he was easily prone to injuries that caused him many setbacks.
In 2018 Big Bash League, Kane Richardson became the leading wicket taker for the Adelaide Strikers in 40 matches. Kane took 42 wickets in 6 seasons for Strikers.
In Big Bash League 7, Kane Richardson signed a contract with Melbourne Renegades for 5 years.

Kane Richardson made his International Debut in an ODI match against Sri Lanka on 13th January 2013. Kane Richardson went wicketless in the match and His debut didn’t go well for him. Kane Richardson was removed from bowling in his 6th over due to running on the pitch during his follow through.
Kane worked hard on his runup and made a comeback in International arena a year later. He made his ODI comeback in a series against Zimbabwe and later made his T20I debut against Pakistan in October 2014.
