Starting with ILT20 this year, Pooran the skipper of team MI Emirates, ended his International League T20 campaign as the second highest run-scorer with 354 runs in only 10 innings at a strike-rate of 170.19. He won the player of the match award in ILT20 2024 finals after playing an effective 27-ball 57* knock and led his side to victory.  

Later he played as vice-captain of LSG (Lucknow Super Giants) in IPL 2024 and smashed a whopping 499 runs in 14 innings at a strike-rate of 178.21.

Pooran is currently the third highest six hitter in international cricket, with 144 sixes in 90 innings. He has played 24 and 61 less matches than the players in second and first places, respectively.
