Deepak Jagbir Hooda, popularly known as Deepak Hooda was born in Rohtak, Haryana, India on 19 April 1995. Deepak Hooda is an Indian right-hand batter who can bowl right-arm off-break as well. Hooda is an aggressive batter and can be used as a middle-order batter as well as a finisher in the team. Deepak Hooda made his International Debut in February 2022 in a series against West Indies. Deepak has been a part of the Indian Premier League for many years but he gained the limelight in IPL 2021. Deepak Hooda started off playing cricket at an early age of 7 years. Deepak had a sports family background. His elder brother was also a cricketer but left the sport due to a shoulder injury. Deepak Hooda started off his domestic career while playing for Baroda in the Ranji Trophy season in 2015-16. Deepak smashed a century on his debut for Baroda and became second batter for the domestic side to achieve the record.
In 2016, Deepak Hooda was selected in the India Under-19 squad to play in the Under-19 ICC Cricket World Cup. Deepak Hooda emerged as the best all rounder of the tournament. He ended up as the second highest run getter and also took second-highest wickets in the tournament.
In the next season of Ranji Trophy i.e. 2016-17, Deepak Hooda smashed his maiden double century for Baroda.
