Ashton Charles Agar, commonly known as Ashton Agar or Ash by his teammates was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 14 October 1993. Ashton Agar is an Australian left-arm orthodox bowler who has been a part of the Australian setup for many years but has never gotten a regular position in the squad. He has been in and out of the team since his debut in 2013. Ashton Agar played his last Test in 2017 and his last ODI match in 2021 but is still a consistent member of the T20I squad. He has the ability to take wickets in the middle order and has proved his ability among the wide pool of fast bowlers in the Australian setup. Ashton Agar plays for Western Australia in the domestic circuit.

Ashton Agar started off playing cricket at the age of 5 years. He had a very happening career right from the beginning. He started playing for his school team but didn’t get many chances in the team. He attended De La Salle College in Melbourne where he nurtured his bowling skills and played many matches for them and helped them in winning the matches. Ashton Agar started off his domestic career while playing for Victoria. Ashton Agar represented Victoria first in Under-17 and then in Under-19 category. In
2010, Ashton Agar picked 16 wickets in the National Championship in Under-17 and was later picked up in the squad for Australia Under-19 to play a series against West Indies Under-19 team in UAE.
In 2012, Ashton Agar was picked up in the squad of Australia Under-19 team for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. However, he didn’t get a chance to play any match in the tournament.
In 2012-13 season, Ashton Agar moved to Western Australia to play for domestic league and made his first-class debut in 2013 for Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield Tournament.
