Sydney Sixers Community Round to Host Cultural Celebration

Sixers Announce Community Round Celebration

The Sydney Sixers have confirmed that their annual Community Round & Cultural Festival will take place during their WBBL clash against the Adelaide Strikers on Sunday, 7 December 2025, at North Sydney Oval.
This year’s edition will spotlight the club’s strong connection with grassroots cricket, honouring junior players, volunteers, families, and loyal supporters who keep the sport thriving at community level. So let’s have a look at Sydney Sixers Community Round.

Expanding Cultural Engagement Initiatives

Alongside celebrating community cricket, the match day will also unveil the Sixers’ enhanced cultural engagement program, which aims to embrace fans from diverse cultural backgrounds.
A key focus of the festival will be building deeper ties with Sydney’s South Asian community, especially as the club prepares to welcome Pakistani superstar Babar Azam for the upcoming BBL season.

Fusion of Cricket and Cultural Festivities

Fans attending the game can expect a vibrant mix of elite WBBL cricket and multicultural festivities. The event is designed to reflect the passion, diversity, and community spirit that define the Sixers fanbase.

Rachael Haynes Highlights the Importance of Community

Sydney Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes said the Community Round is the ideal way to celebrate the team’s final home game before the WBBL finals.

“From grassroots to elite cricket, our community shapes who we are,” Haynes said.
“This round is about recognising the volunteers and junior clubs that support the game and acknowledging the cultural diversity that makes Sydney unique.
“With Babar Azam joining us this summer, it’s also a wonderful opportunity to connect with our South Asian fans and the wider multicultural community.”
